The Expertise

Simtek has combined the most desired features of volatile and non-volatile memory into a single chip: the nvSRAM.

The nvSRAM combines static random access memory (SRAM) with non-volatile elements in a shadow memory configuration. Each SRAM cell contains Quantum Trap non-volatile elements, and can be read directly to (or written from) the external data pins, in a manner identical to conventional SRAM operation.
